KRC WEEKLY RUNS

SATURDAYS AT 7:15AM/7:45AM (7:30AM START MARCH TO THANKSGIVING; 8:00AM START AFTER THANKSGIVING TO THE END OF FEBRUARY), ROTATING MEETING LOCATIONS

GOATS’ RUN: HISTORICALLY KRC’S WEEKLY LONG RUN

The original KRC long run! Every week a variety of routes are proposed leaving from and ending at the week’s meeting spot. After club announcements at 7:55 am (7:25am beginning of March to Thanksgiving), runners set off on their selected route, at their own pace, returning to the meeting spot from for a coffee and a chat.

A message is sent to club members each week, giving the start location and routes for the weekly Goats’ Runs. All information is also posted on the KRC Facebook Page and in the Calendar & Events page.

Routes and distances are suggested; runners adapt and change the routes and distances to meet their own training, fitness, or injury needs and the prevailing weather and/or conditions. Walkers are welcome.

Afterwards at the “après run”, participants chat, stretch, have coffee (or, when from a park or beach, simply sit around with their BYO coffee and/or snacks).

MONDAYS AND THURSDAYS AT 8:30AM; CURRENTLY STARTING FROM BEAN SCENE ON DICKSON AT LANDMARK SQUARE

CREEKERS’ RUNS

A dedicated group of runners and walkers is found at the weekly Creekers’ runs. These run/walk sessions have been taking place for decades, slowly evolving in form and location.

The group’s current metamorphosis is as the “Early Creekers” running on Monday and Thursday mornings. Currently leaving from Bean Scene on Dickson – The runs go from there onto the Rails for Trails (Grey Way).

Participants who want to, meet for coffee afterwards at Bread Company Landmark at Dolphin Ave and Dayton Street.

These are very non-competitive run/walk sessions, dedicated to regular exercise and fellowship.

Watch out for a notice, in Spring 2025, for a change back to Mission Creek Park.
